I’ll keep it simple and quick. It’s exactly what you thought it would be…UNLESS you’re the type who thought it would be a run-of-the-mill, summer action flick. Nope. It’s ridiculous, stunning, minimalist, over-the-top and bat-shit crazy. Some are calling it a masterpiece and Oscar-worthy. Well, that’s pushing it…it’s REALLY good, to be sure, but it relies almost exclusively on film-craft to amaze – not script, plot, or acting (although the acting is fine). But amaze it does…go see it.
