TV Review: Peaky Blinders
So if you’re looking for a new series to binge on that has REALLY good acting, writing and production values, try “Peaky Blinders” on Netflix. Two seasons of six episodes each, so a quick and fascinating watch. Sam Neill plays a REALLY creepy bad guy and Tom Hardy, as a Jewish, cockney gangster, in season two, might give the most mesmerizing television performance ever. I found it fascinating. It’s of the same post-WWI era as “Boardwalk Empire” but lives in a smaller universe (Birmingham, England) so it doesn’t over-reach the way “Boardwalk” often did.
